The Neighborhood of Hamilton Heights

Real estate investment professional Matthew Plotkin owns and operates a property investment group in Englewood, New Jersey. Under Matthew Plotkin’s leadership, the Plotkin Property Group leases properties in Englewood and the New York City neighborhood of Hamilton Heights.

Named in honor of Founding Father and former resident Alexander Hamilton, Hamilton Heights is located in the hills of Upper Manhattan. In addition to Hamilton, the neighborhood has been home to painter Norman Rockwell and musician Duke Ellington.

Over the years, Hamilton Heights has attracted affluent residents, leading to a steady rise in local amenities and real estate prices. Its sub-neighborhood of Sugar Hill has been a highly desirable upscale area since the 1930s.

Hamilton Heights also contains the campus of the City College of New York and 28-acre Riverbank State Park. The state park features playgrounds, swimming pools, athletic fields, tennis courts, basketball courts, a running track, a restaurant, and a theater.
